Since its inception, Carousel has focused on investing in partnership with exceptional management teams. In order to capitalize on the strength and experience of these management teams, Carousel's principals do not attempt to manage the day-to day operations of our portfolio companies. However, we do believe that successful investing is not a passive activity. We seek to add value to our investments in a variety of ways, including:

• Providing introductions to Carousel's Investor Network and business contacts
• Working directly with the management team on key strategic / financial initiatives
• Identifying new executives for senior management or board positions
• Providing access to third party relationships (investment banks, lenders, consultants, etc.) both within and outside the Southeast
• Introducing our portfolio companies to potential customers or new business relationships
• Investing additional capital to pursue growth or acquisition opportunities
• Serving on the Board of Directors
