Jason Schmidly joined Carousel Capital in 1998. Previously, Mr. Schmidly worked in private equity and mergers and acquisitions at Gregory & Hoenemeyer, Inc. in Greenwich, Connecticut. Prior to that, he worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York.
Mr. Schmidly (along with Mr. Grigg) is primarily responsible for managing the firm and leading and managing the investment and portfolio company efforts for the firm. Mr. Schmidly has led investments for Carousel in multiple sectors including: franchising; consumer services; technology enabled business services; distribution and niche product companies. He currently serves as a director on the board of Transflo, CCG IQ, Expedited Travel, ProcessBarron, Armstrong Transport Group, Ethos Risk Services, Quality Automotive Services, and Reliance Partners. Mr. Schmidly has served as a director on the board of multiple prior portfolio companies including Joe Hudson’s Collision Center, Southeastern Automotive Aftermarket Service Holdings (Express Oil Change / Tire Engineers), Copac, Driven Brands and Jameson.
Mr. Schmidly received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a dual major in Finance and Organizational Behavior from Southern Methodist University.
